Our client is a global organization, named one of the largest in the Automobile industry! They are rapidly growing and going through a robust digital transformation.
The business and senior leadership have put a huge emphasis on technology initiatives and are looking for passionate team members to contribute to the growth and development of the technical environment.
We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled Desktop Support candidate to join a large-scale refresh project. As a Desktop Support resource, your responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving technical issues, software updates, and working closely with vendors to ensure successful deployments.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong desktop support background, excellent communication skills, and be committed to delivering top-notch service.
This position requires the ability to prioritize effectively, and strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
This is a rolling contract role that offers a hybrid schedule with an expectation Tuesday / Wednesday onsite, with the third day dependent on business needs!
Position Summary
- Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors.
- Responsible for managing and resolving support tickets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve software-related problems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot computer system issues, including operating systems, hardware and software, networking, VPN, connectivity, applications, and other network devices / peripherals, both remotely and on-site.
- Create technical documents of implementations, break-fix solutions, etc.
- Assist in creating materials for end-users frequently asked questions (FAQs).
- Monitor and manage updates and patches for desktop software, ensuring compliance with vendor recommendations and industry best practices.
- Hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and fixing desktops, printers, laptops, and other computers.
Minimum Experience
- 5 + years of experience providing IT Infrastructure field support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Experience working on a refresh / upgrade project
- Windows administration and deployment (10 / 11)
- MS Office Suite and application support
- Strong, customer skills and white glove service
- Datto RMM experience is a plus.
- Ability to research solutions and multi-task.
- Knowledge of VPN support
- Encryption experience
- Ticketing system experience
