Regional SettingFor information on Tacoma and the surrounding area : https : / / www.tacomacc.edu / tcc-life / life in tacomaPosition OverviewTCC is seeking a team member who can help lead, oversee and grow our current bachelor degree programs and help develop future programs to serve our community.

The position plays a key role in advancing TCC’s commitment to develop and deliver high quality bachelor degree programs by collaborating with program chairs, faculty and Pathway Specialists to ensure a holistic learning environment and support system for non-traditional college students.

This position is responsible for tracking, monitoring and reporting student recruitment, retention, completion, and employment.

This position also leads bachelor degree-related outreach, marketing including social media and event planning. The BAS Manager reports to the Dean of Business, Paralegal & Technology and Bachelor Programs and may supervise support staff.

This role will require some evening hours to accommodate evening bachelor’s programs and information sessions for non-traditional students.

Essential Functions Marketing and Recruitment Create, coordinate and implement outreach and recruitment strategies for the bachelor degrees programs offered at TCC.

Create, update and distribute recruitment materials (i.e. flyers, videos, articles). Strengthen connection with workforce programs on campus and in the community.

Expand network of employers and business organizations in targeted career pathway sectors. Manage marketing and recruiting budget.

Represent TCC’s bachelor programs at outreach-related events on and off campus. Develop and maintain a database to track and engage with potential students.

Develop and maintain incoming and outgoing articulation agreements. Coordinate Master’s Programs information sessions (with articulation partners) for graduating students.

Other duties, as assigned. Student Support Guide and direct students with completing college admissions processes, including the bachelor’s admissions application, Financial Aid application and accessing other student support services.

Coordinate with other college departments to ensure students have access to information about other potential sources of funding (i.

e. Worker Retraining) and in-kind support to enhance student’s opportunities to complete programs of study. Track enrolled student progression and coordinate services that support academic persistence and success.

Coordinate new student onboarding sessions for each program in collaboration with the chair and respective pathway specialist.

Conduct exit interviews with non-completing students and BAS graduates and collect data for assessment purposes. Coordinate and administer the junior student survey (end of first year of the program).

Prepare, format, and analyze data for use by the chairs, dean and advisory committee. Coordinate and administer the graduating student survey and format and analyze data for use by chairs, dean and advisory committee.

Present internship and job opportunities to bachelor students. Maintain Student Canvas courses for each bachelor program.

Maintain the degree-related LinkedIn groups. Coordinate collecting graduate employment data. Other duties, as assigned. Coordination and Communication Establish and maintain effective working partnerships with multiple stakeholders including funding sources, educational institutions and prospective employers.

Ccollaborate and maintain regular communication with community and campus partners to evaluate and strengthen student support network and training pipeline.

Participate in quarterly advisory committee meetings as the BAS representative for the programs.Attend Advisors and Pathway meetings to update and train navigators and advisors on BAS degree requirements.

Coordinate and present on-campus, as necessary, Information Sessions explaining BAS degrees.Coordinate offsite bachelor information sessions with articulation and community partners.

Coordinate and collaborate with other baccalaureate-conferring institutions.Coordinate updates to the BAS webpages.Train BAS faculty advisors regarding BAS requirements and procedures as new programs are developed.

Other duties, as assigned. Management and OperationsDevelop and maintain system for tracking program and course enrollment data.

Create, facilitate and implement an annual plan for admissions and revise as needed in collaboration with campus stakeholders.

Assist program chairs, as needed, with quarterly course schedules.Create enrollment goals for the BAS programs in collaboration with the chairs.

Prepare reports and participate in the annual planning, evaluation and implementation processes.Represent TCC at the statewide Baccalaureate Leadership Council (BLC) meetings.

Attend department and division meetings as the BAS representative.Assist course mapping and scheduling, as requested.Facilitate quarterly BAS Steering Committee meetings.

Assist in the hiring process for BAS faculty.Supervise and lead student work-study and part time staff. Collaborate with the respective campus stakeholders to research, write, and submit necessary documentation for approval of BAS degrees.

Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Competencies : Excellent communication skills across various educational and cultural levels while using written, electronic, and verbal methods.

Strong interpersonal and intercultural competence; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the college, the community, industry, and media contacts.

Enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, and creative. Strong organizational skills. Ability to represent the College in a positive, professional manner.

Ability to assume responsibility and deal effectively with problems; exercise good judgment when making decisions. Ability to present information to a large group in person or online.

Strong commitment to the concept of applied bachelor degrees in the community colleges. Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

3 years of relevant work experience.OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated commitment to enhancing equity and academic success of non-traditional college students and systemically underrepresented populations.

Effective organizational and leadership skills are desired.Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills and online collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications : Preferred work in a college setting community college experience, or career readiness, advising, or career navigation.

Terms of Employment This is a full-time professional position contracted on an annual basis. The salary is $75,000-$82,000 annually.

Scheduled to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Must be available occasional evenings, nights, and weekends as needed. Summer schedule may vary to four 10-hour days.

Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) & Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) & LimitedPurpose FSAFSA & DCAP accounts allow employees to set aside pre-taxed dollars to cover out-of-pocket health care and / or childcare expenses.

Members of WFSE (HE CCC) and WPEA, will be eligible to receive a $250 FSA card if employed as of November 1, 2023 with an annual full-time equivalent salary of less than $60,000, and is enrolled in a non-CDHP medical plan as of January 1 of the plan year that FSA funds are made available.

This card isissued by PEBB in the following January and does not count against the annual FSA limit, if enrolled in an FSA with Navia.

The Limited Purpose FSA is eligible for employees who are enrolled in a consumer-directed health plan (CDHP) that has a Health Savings Account.

Basic Coverage : $35,000 Basic Term Life & $5,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) This is employer-provided at no cost to the employee.

Classified Monthly vacation entitlement amounts can vary from 11.33 to 16.67 hours per month depending on the length of state service.

Administrator / Exempt Professional vacation leave is 16.00 hours per month. Monthly sick leave entitlement is 8.00 hours per month based on 100% FTE position and will be prorated accordingly if less than 100% FTE.

Annual personal leave entitlement varies depending on employee type. Full-time classified, administrators, and professional staff are paid for all federal holidays.

Full-time faculty receive 84.00 hours of paid sick leave per academic year along with 28.00 hours of personal leave. Full-time faculty are paid on an annual contract and do not receive pay for federal holidays.

Part-time faculty receive sick leave each quarter using a formula based on the total FTE% from the cumulative teaching contracts issued to them that quarter.

They would receive 7.00 hours of personal leave if they are issued a multi-quarter appointment at the start of the academic year.

Part-time faculty do not receive pay for federal holidays.Part-time hourly and student employees receive 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked in a month (and fractions, thereof).

Up to 40 hours of sick leave can carry over from one calendar year to the next.If a part-time hourly or student employee is hired into a full-time position, the sick leave hours earned in the part-time position do not carry over to the full-time position.

Part-time hourly and student employees are not paid for federal holidays.Monthly entitlements are given at the beginning of the following month.

All employees in salaried positions may take up to five days of paid bereavement time off for the death of a family member.

This is separate from the sick leave or vacation leave.RETIREMENTRetirement participation is mandatory for retirement benefit eligible TCC employees.

Employees are offered a choice between two retirement plans and that choice is generally irrevocable while employed at TCC.

Classified Employees and (retirement eligible) Part-Time hourly : Classified employees and eligible part-time hourly employees must choose between the Public Employees Retirement Systems (PERS) Plan 2 or Plan 3.

New Full-timeemployees are automatically enrolled in DCP 3 months after hire at a contribution rate of 3%. Employees are sent a notification letter within approximately 30 days of hire.

This notice includes information about auto-enrollment and the necessary steps to take if one chooses to opt-out or make changes to their DCP enrollment.

Contributions can be changed at any time during employment. Following the initial auto- enrollment possibility, employees would contact DRS to setup contributions and can contribute on a pre- tax basis up to the annual IRS limit.

Tuition WaiverAdministrative, Classified, Full-time Faculty, and Part-Time faculty employed for more than 50% FTE are eligible to register for space-available classes, up to 10 credits per quarter, with the State Employee Tuition Waiver program.
