New York Life Financial Professional
As a New York Life Financial Professional (Agent), you will build up your personal career path and develop your client base in the SoCal area by helping clients and their families with their insurance and financial needs.
You will be responsible for providing your clients with professional guidance and product solutions to help meet their Insurance, Retirement Planning, College Funding, and Investment needs 1 .

New York Life Insurance Company (NYLIC) is a mutual insurance company, which means it is not publicly traded and has no shareholders.
References to ownership refer to NYLIC's policy owners who purchase its participating products. These policy owners share certain membership rights, such as voting in the board of directors elections and being eligible to share in annual dividends that are declared by the board.
NYLIC is also the parent company of two other wholly owned life insurance subsidiaries. Policies issued by these subsidiaries are not participating and do not share in these rights.
Responsibilities
- Develop marketing plans and achieve business goals.
- Prospect for potential clients and maintain client relationships.
- Discuss the financial concerns and needs of individuals and their families.
- Present professional solutions with New York Life products and services that can best meet the needs of the client.
- Develop your professional skills and knowledge through the New York Life Insurance Company University (NYLIC-U) training courses and other channels including training at the General Office and through mentoring with established agents and joining agent study groups.
Qualifications
Requirements and Preferences :
- US work authorization is Required.
- Bachelor's degree Preferred.
- Bilingual with Chinese / Korean / Vietnamese preferred.
- Health & Life Insurance License holder preferred (Not Required).
- 1-3 years of Sales or Financial Advisor Experience preferred.
Skills (possessed or willingness to acquire) :
- Effective communication skills and outgoing personality with the ability to develop relationships.
- Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined in order to attain goals.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and excellent time-management skills.
