Assistant Manager
Responsibilities will include but, may not be limited to :
- Supporting and assisting the General Manager, on an as-needed basis with scheduling, inventory, ordering, cost control, crew management, interviewing and hiring, and orientation
- Sharing in the responsibility of daily operations, with an emphasis on customer service, drive time, direct labor, and cost of goods
- Facilitating crew member training and cross-training, following up regularly with trainers and trainees to promote consistency and employee retention
- Prioritizing safety, sanitation, and cleanliness throughout the restaurant
- Ensuring compliance with all food and beverage regulations
- Supporting as needed in all positions throughout the restaurant
- Developing relationships with dine-in, and drive-thru guests
- Holding crew accountable for, attendance, uniforms, prep, portioning, product rotation, date labelling, and cleaning and sanitation
- Upholding the company's Progressive Discipline Policy, supporting supervisors' first-level disciplinary action, as well as issuing second level-and-above discipline as needed
- Handling guest complaints using GRACE to provide a quality customer experience
- Attending and actively participating in management meetings
- Leading the team through example by upholding company policies, service standards, and health department regulations
- Offering constructive feedback and positive reinforcement to hourly crew members throughout each shift and through the use of employee evaluations
- Promoting successful store communication through regular use of email, shift recaps, Hot Schedules, written notices, etc.
Requirements :
- Must be 18 years old, with 1-2 years supervisory or management experience
- Must have open availability and be open to a changing schedule
- Knowledge of, or certificate in, safe food handling procedures
- Experience leading a diverse team of people
- Experience with training and mentoring team members
- Record of exceptional attendance, reliability, and scheduling flexibility
- Upbeat, positive, and team-oriented demeanor
- Attention to detail and desire to lead others by example
- Ability to communicate effectively with hourly team members and other managers
Work Environment :
- The position is full time, salary
- The position will report to the General Manager
