THE POSITION
The Production Artist (Full-Time Hourly) is responsible for supporting art curation and art production for the purchasing team.
Working alongside the Lead Production Artist and Product Development Traffic Coordinator, the Production Artist is instrumental in providing production art support in creating finished look books, vendor production needs, file, and asset management all while ensuring the highest quality of art curation and quality standards of art and creative asset usage.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
Art Curation :
Manage product layout of freelance created art. Ensure that art is applied to products effectively and correctly, creating partner-ready visuals for the purchasing team.
- Manipulate art when necessary for specific product needs.
- Ensure art to product quality and maintains visual appeal.
- Manage all look books and curated visuals for stories, groupings, and programs.
Art Production :
Assists in production art needs with creative team, purchasing team, and outside vendor contacts.
- Manage all vendor specs and templates.
- Ensures all outbound files are formatted and prepped for vendor appropriately.
Purchasing Support :
Effectively support the creative and purchasing teams in ensuring efficient timelines, resources, and refinement to the creative process.
- Work in coordination with the traffic manager to ensure production needs stay within timelines and deadlines are met.
- Ensure all files and assets are kept organized and maintained for ease of use by teams.
Skills / Qualifications :
- Advance Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
- Illustrator
- Photoshop
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and File Sharing Platforms
- Outlook
- SharePoint
- Teams
- Power Point
- Word
- Excel
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in graphic design
Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this job, the Production Artist is frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to sit and work at a computer for prolonged periods of time.
