Regulatory & Environmental Compliance Specialist

Join an innovative team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. This is a key position responsible for ensuring that all operations and products adhere to relevant regulatory guidelines, including ISO 9001, OSHA, EPA, and FDA requirements.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting the Environmental Health and Safety program and keeping the organization aligned with industry best practices.

Your Impact in This Role

  • Monitor and analyze relevant regulations, including OSHA, RCRA, Homeland Security, Federal & Ohio EPA, DEA, and DHS, ensuring the company remains compliant with all standards
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies for programs such as TSCA, Toxic Release Inventory, SARA Title III, air emissions, and stormwater reporting
  • Maintain all required documentation and training materials related to regulatory compliance, keeping teams informed and prepared
  • Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategic plans to mitigate these risks
  • Act as the key liaison between the company and regulatory agencies, ensuring clear communication and swift resolution of any compliance-related issues

What You Bring to The Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or Regulatory Affairs)
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, RCRA, Homeland Security, EPA Risk Management Plan, and other applicable regulations
  • 3-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the chemical manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Certification in OSHA Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Operations Level or above is preferred
