Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

5+ years of relevant experience in a corporate, consulting, audit, or outside counsel setting.

Strong experience working with data and analytical tools and methods.

Maintain effective communication with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information is maintained.

Prior experience with a company’s compliance team, helping to build and maintain an effective compliance program.

Work cross-functionally to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations as well as the Company’s internal policies.

Develop a strong understanding of GM operations worldwide to include cultural understanding.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

10+ years of relevant experience in a corporate, consulting, audit, or outside counsel setting.

Experience using data and analytics for compliance purposes in a large, corporate environment.

Previous experience working in an in-house compliance role.

A law degree from an accredited college of university is not required but is strongly preferred.

Admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction in the United States and, if not admitted in Michigan, the ability to qualify for in-house counsel status in Michigan

Experience working on anti-fraud projects.

Experience with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and / or international anti-corruption laws

Ability to travel occasionally.
