As a per diem, nonexempt, CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician , you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs;
billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule : This position will work a varied schedule approximately 4 to 8 hours per week. There is no set schedule.
About the Facility : Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital, also known as OrthoIndy Hospital, is a 37-bed acute care hospital that specializes in musculoskeletal therapy located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The hospital is Indiana's first specialty hospital with a focus on orthopedics.
About the Pharmacy : The Pharmacy is open Monday from 6 : 00am-8 : 00pm, Tuesday through Thursday from 6 : 00am-9 : 00pm and Friday from 6 : 00am-7 : 00pm.
Saturday and Sunday from 8 : 00am-12 : 00pm.
Required Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification program or at least one year of training as a Pharmacy Technician or a Foreign Pharmacy candidate.
- Pharmacy License or certification applicable to the state of Indiana.
- Demonstrated team collaboration skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor and team members.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Demonstrates appropriate problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge and ability to read and comprehend physician’s orders relating to medications and treatments.
- Knowledge of use and dispensing of medications.
Hospital Requirements : (may be required)
PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
