The Email Marketing Specialist plays a vital role in helping Wycliffe accomplish its Bible translation movement by enhancing our marketing team's capabilities.
This role will be instrumental in shaping our email marketing initiatives leveraging Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot).
This role is designed for a strategic thinker with enterprise expertise in email marketing tactics, campaign management, and the nuanced use of marketing automation technology.
An in-depth understanding of Salesforce integrations is essential as it will be responsible for designing email campaigns, segmenting email lists, testing and analyzing campaign results, and maintaining databases.
The role demands a proactive approach to elevating our email marketing initiatives, boosting Wycliffe engagement, and playing a crucial role in achieving our organization's ambitious growth targets.

Job Responsibilities :
Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for unreached people groups around the world.
Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
Develop and manage Wycliffe’s email marketing automation systems and processes, including list management, automation functionality, strategy, and all aspects of email campaigns from creation to post-mortem to ensure the highest quality and drive customer engagement.
Create lists, automation rules, form handlers, Urchin Tracking Modules (UTMs), and drip programs based on marketing strategies and plans.
Incorporate insight from previous sends / tests to ensure we have regular, relevant content to share with our subscribers that will drive engagement and conversion metrics.
Carry out end-to-end production of Wycliffe’s email schedule - brief, build, targeting, QA, send, and report.
Create and implement a testing plan to ensure that subject lines, content, layout, and send times of all emails are optimized based on statistically significant results.
Localize existing automated communications flows and develop new flows to ensure we are making the best use of insight in the timing, targeting, and content of those communications, as well as keeping the content and look and feel up to date with key campaigns.
Ensure CAN-SPAM and GDPR compliance for all email communications and digital products that capture user data.
Maintain strong working relationships with all internal partners and external vendors as appropriate.
Provide direct feedback / analytics with the goal of improving response or engagement.
Working with the web team, design, create and optimize landing pages for lead generation.
Partner with the design team to align textual and visual elements.
Assist with other duties, projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Digital Marketing and / or Vice President of Marketing.

Technological Proficiency :
Managing end-to-end email production from planning to send.
Building, targeting, sending, and reporting on emails in an ESP.
Creating behavioral triggered email campaigns to drive customer retention.
Running robust controlled tests to understand behavior and optimize performance.
Interrogating campaign data to understand performance of campaigns beyond the topline number.
Willingness to stay current with technological advancements and design trends.
Technical Skills :
Intermediate knowledge of Salesforce.
Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).
Intermediate knowledge of HTML5 and CSS including responsive design.
Intermediate knowledge of landing page optimization, analytical software such as GoogleAnalytics and database management tools.
Advanced knowledge of Pardot or other marketing automation software.
Full working knowledge of lead nurturing and demand generation.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, media or related area of study plus five years of experience in digital content production;
or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Intermediate experience with planning, implementing and analyzing online marketing initiatives across multiple online channels.
Nonprofit ministry experience is also highly beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits :
Wycliffe Bible Translators is a non-profit Christian organization. Wycliffe’s purpose-driven culture allows you to use your gifts and talents to serve the global work and ministry of Bible translation.
The hiring range for this position is $54,448.87-$68,061.09. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
The actual pay rate will be based on various factors such as qualifications, skills and experience, required training, licensure and / or certifications, budget, and location, if applicable.
Additionally, the range for this position is based upon and considers Wycliffe’s non-profit ministry environment.
