Position : JR Code Sensei (Kids in K-2 grade levels)

If you answered yes, then this might be the job for you! Code Ninjas is looking for an Early Childhood Coding Educator who can help create a fun and safe environment where children ages 5 to 8 years old can learn Coding and Computer Science.

The Teacher will be responsible for monitoring and teaching Code Ninjas JR program.

Responsibilities include (what you will be doing) :

• Create a positive, safe, and fun environment in which students can grow
• Teach Code Ninjas JR Program curriculum (All core computer science concepts in block coding), Camps (a variety of STEM activities)
• Engage with kids to assess their skill levels
• Share your students success and feedback with parents after each session
• Develop / modify / run Coding activities to support our Coding Program and Camps curriculum
• Keep the dojo well organized, safe and clean

Required Qualifications (who we're looking for) :

• You are passionate about teaching coding / computer science / STEM to kids
• Experience in teaching or tutoring young kids ages 5-8 years old
• A confident, patient, kind, empathetic and fun individual who has a knack for how to make learning fun for kids
• Be on top of your game A well organized individual who has all their systems and (both online and offline) tools at their fingertips at any time (knows how to run things efficiently and effectively)
• Takes initiative and has can-do attitude proactively offers to help others and solves problems (has an ability to 'figure it out')
• Quick learner with a growth mindset
• High level 'work ethic' (you hate mediocrity)

Preferred qualifications (nice to have) :

• Knows how to create content in Canva
• Classroom management skills (small groups ok)
• Lives in Tracy, CA
