The Inventory Site Coordinator is accountable for evaluating product movement and adjusting inventory PAR Levels in the computerized inventory management system to effect change in product and process.
Coordinates the daily acquisition, receiving, and distribution of material resources for unit / service. Participates with the Section Managers on planning and implementing cost effective changes in material utilization through inventory management and alternative purchasing practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains a stock inventory of all supplies for the warehouse.
- Performs inventory counts using a handheld computer and up-loads data to the Material Management computer system for comparison to inventory standards.
- Ability to understand underlying computer system logic and system file relationships.
- Generates system inventory site restock orders.
- Generates and processes all supply requisitions.
- Maintains a working knowledge of product utilization and purpose.
- Receives supplies and performs the computerized inventory receipt and put away process.
- Coordinates acquisition and receipt of all non-stock supplies.
- Acts as a department / service liaison for inventory control meetings.
- Acts as a resource for staff, sharing useful and cost-effective ideas and materials information.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of product related regulatory requirements (e.g. FDA Safe Medical Device knowledge of product related regulatory requirements (e.
g. FDA Safe Medical Device Reporting Act, OSHA,AAMI,JCAHO)
Qualifications
- High School Diploma / G.E.D. - required
- Associate's Degree in business or Applied Science - preferred
- Previous experience in a support position, inventory control - preferred
- Basic computer skills (e.g. spread sheet, database management).
