Duties
What will I do in this position if hired?
In this position, you will serve as a Section Chief. Typical assignments include :
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on claims-related correspondence and trends to promote quality and consistency of responses and to identify trends that may indicate the need for additional management attention.
- Evaluating analytical data, studies and projects and drafting reports with recommendations for process improvement.
- Communicating technical information and presenting to internal and external customers with varying backgrounds to address concerns or resolve issues related to workers compensation, telework, remote work, and employee wellness programs.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct evaluations for all team members.
- Overseeing a diverse team composed of both remote and in-office employees.

Qualifications
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.
The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following :
- Enforcing compliance with workplace regulations and policies related to Human Resources programs such as telework, remote work, employee wellness, drug-free workplace initiatives or workers' compensation programs.
- Assessing program effectiveness and making data-driven recommendations for program improvement.
