Position Title : Clinical Supervisor

Reports to : Director of Clinical Services

Type : Full-Time, Non-Exempt. Day and Swing shift schedule

Schedule : Swing shift : Two-day Day shifts 8am - 4 pm (including one weekend) and One-day Swing shift, 4 pm - 12 am (including one weekend)

Pay rate : $43-$45 / hour, depending on experience

Location : Onsite in Seattle, WA

Union Representation : Non-Union Role

PROGRAM SUMMARY : Crisis Connections provides a variety of telephone-based support services that are free and easily accessible to anyone in our community experiencing crisis.

Our service area includes King County and WA State. Our passion is to foster resilience and wellbeing for all by connecting people to accessible and compassionate support.

POSITION SUMMARY : We are looking for a supervisor with a proven set of skills in program management, including quality assurance monitoring, and reporting.

The supervisor is responsible for training, supervising and mentoring professional and paraprofessional staff. The supervisor is responsible for communicating the mission of our work and incorporates the principles of recovery into training of staff.

It is important that the Supervisor has excellent communication and training skills. This position would work closely with the Clinical Director of Crisis Services.

The Supervisor needs to understand the nature of 24-hour work and be flexible to support staffing during evenings, nights, and weekends.

The Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of the crisis phone room on Swing shift and is a key contact with our community partners.

JOB DUTIES

1. Provides training in call handling skills and relevant policies and procedures.

2. Assists Phone Workers in adhering to staU and volunteer requirements.

3. Engage with the scheduling team to assure 24 / 7 phone coverage and providing back up support

as needed.

4. Tracking and response community complaints to engage team in further development.

5. Tracking of monthly call and web data as well as staU and volunteer work performance reports.

6. Shares in the networking with behavioral health providers statewide.

SERVICE DELIVERY

1. Demonstrates knowledge of Washington State resources for substance abuse, problem gambling and mental health.

2. Demonstrates knowledge of Crisis Connections resources, including competent use of CareLogic database, competent use of ECLS, and competent use of non-computerized information.

Able to guild, assist and problem solve use of these programs.

3. Demonstrates knowledge of phone room protocol and procedure.

4. Provides adequate consultation to professionals and non-professionals.

5. Maintains appropriate professionalism in dealing with volunteers, consumers, and professionals.

6. Ensures follow up calls are being returned in a timely manner.

7. Makes appropriate use of Director.

8. Participates in PW training and other non-phone room responsibilities as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

1. Participates in program meetings and planning.

2. Crisis Connections is a growing agency. This position would be called upon to facilitate the implication of additional contracts as they arise.

7. Suggests solutions to identified problems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :

  • Master’s degree in psychology / counseling or social work or related field required.
  • Mental Health Professional as defined by WAC 246-341-0200.
  • Independent or associate licensure in counseling, or social work preferred.
  • Two years’ experience working with individuals in crisis preferred.
  • Telephone assessment or help line experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and typing skills.
  • Ability to learn and use multiple software platforms, and technology systems.
  • Experience providing training both in person and virtual preferred.
  • Evidence of ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary clinical staff in a call center environment.

Requirements

Computer Skills Assessment : Crisis Connections requires a basic Computer Skills assessment to measure computer literacy and skills.

The assessment is approximately 15 minutes in length, and timed. HR will provide a link to complete the test after screening qualified candidates.

This assessment will be completed on the candidate's personal computer. Upon request, candidates may take the assessment at one of our 2 office locations as an accommodation.

Technology Requirements :

Smart phone with ability to download and use Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) application.

Working Conditions : Individuals in this position should be able to sit or stand for lengthy periods of time. Individuals will need to be able to wear a headset or earphones as they take calls and attend meetings.

Individuals will need to manage several IT / software platforms at once and be able to function in an environment with moderate noise and distraction.

This position will expose you to conversations about suicide, mental health issues and staff responding to crisis situations.
