Job Overview
The Account Management Specialist serves as the primary relationship manager and thought partner, coordinating the development of strategic advertising plans with clients and internal teams.
This Specialist oversees the entire client relationship, from coordinating the sales proposal with the sales team to gathering information needed for the Ad Ops team to execute the campaign.
Acting as the main contact for client communication, the Specialist manages interactions from contract signing through launch, campaign optimization, and post-campaign reporting, working closely with the Analytics team.
The Specialist also seeks ways to improve client relationships and identifies new opportunities to grow accounts with Macy’s Media Network.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment with a new market offering and a small, agile team, supported by the resources, organizational backing, and vendor relationships of an industry leader.
What You Will Do
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor and thought partner for clients.
- Act as the main point of contact and coordinate inputs from clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Update trackers and project plans to keep the team informed about clients and campaigns.
- Lead client meetings and spearhead the creation of PowerPoint presentations with input from cross-functional partners.
- Contribute to the development of thoughtful, innovative, and strategic marketing plans for advertisers based on a deep understanding of Macy’s onsite and offsite offerings, thorough knowledge of advertisers' objectives and KPIs, and within the framework of business rules.
- Maintain and adhere to the rate card, focusing on yield management as vendor relationships are fostered and contracts negotiated.
- Partner with Creative and Ad Operations counterparts to ensure plans are integrated and executed appropriately.
Skills You Will Need
Relationship Management : Ability to effectively manage relationships, both internal and external, by building trust, understanding client needs, and fostering collaboration.
Communication and Presentation : Proficiency in conveying ideas clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing, and adeptness in creating compelling presentations to engage clients and stakeholders.
Strategic Planning and Analysis : Capability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop strategic marketing plans tailored to meet advertisers' objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Project Management and Organization : Skill in efficiently organizing and managing projects, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of tasks while paying meticulous attention to detail.
Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in using software tools such as PowerPoint and Excel, as well as a thorough understanding of the terminology and mechanics of the online advertising industry and retail media.
Client Relationship Enhancement and Growth : Ability to proactively identify opportunities to enhance client relationships, provide value-added services, and identify new avenues for account growth within Macy’s Media Network.
Collaboration : Capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Creative and Ad Operations counterparts, to ensure seamless integration and execution of advertising campaigns.

- Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 3-5 years of experience in retail media ad sales and / or account management.
- Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands / fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms.
