Company Overview : Our client, a leader in the waste management industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Manager to join their team.
The Facility Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the operations of a waste disposal facility, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and safety at all times.
Position Summary : The Facility Manager will be responsible for managing all facets of the waste disposal facility's operations.
This includes supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing processes to maintain the highest standards of service.
The ideal Facility Manager will have a strong background in waste management, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- The Facility Manager will oversee daily operations, including waste processing, equipment maintenance, and logistics coordination.
- Ensure the facility complies with all environmental, health, and safety regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local standards.
- Manage, train, and evaluate facility staff, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to enhance the facility's performance and safety.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for necessary services and equipment maintenance.
- The Facility Manager will monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the facility operates smoothly and safely.
- Address emergencies and incidents in accordance with established protocols.
- Prepare reports on facility operations, compliance, and performance metrics for senior management review.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the facility's efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in waste management, facility management, or a similar industry.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with waste management software systems.
