Job Summary
Major brand name company has an opportunity for an EHS Manager at their location in the Indianapolis area to help them meet the demands of their customers across the country.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, will work onsite at the plant managing the plant Environment, Health and Safety programs to ensure operations minimizes the impact upon the environment and provide a safe and accident-free work environment.
Will lead a team of employees who support our EHS programs and deliver programs to train managers and employees in work site safety and environmental practices.
Will lead the development of their facility wide EHS culture through technical support, program development, and partnerships.

There is a 15% bonus potential and 168 hours of PTO (monthly accrual that can be used ahead). Relocation nationally is also associated with this role.
Will :
- Manage all aspects of environmental, health, safety and sustainable development programs.
- Promote plant safety, environmental responsibility and sustainability stewardship by working with all departments to analyze current situation and recommend improvements.
- Direct environmental compliance and performance functions following government regulations, corporate compliance guidelines and applicable environmental requirements.
- Support accident investigations and prepare accident reports required by regulatory agencies.
- Conduct inspections and audits in plant and at other facilities to detect existing or potential accident hazards and determine corrective or preventative measures.
- Facilitate the Safety Committee process by active participation in the subcommittee process and being a resource for each group.
- Administer initial Workers Compensation functions.
- Direct necessary compliance training for all individuals to assure OSHA, EPA and company training requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years industrial safety experience
- 3 Years of EHS management experience
- Understanding of and ability to interpret OSHA, EPA, DOT, federal and state regulations.
- Experience performing risk assessments and audits.
- Food process manufacturing experience a plus
