This position is responsible for the technical aspects of the Enhanced International Feed, PGA TOUR LIVE and other assigned projects.
This person works in conjunction with the production staff to ensure the execution of all elements for a live broadcast.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or related experience in Television, Broadcasting, Communications, or Journalism
- Minimum of five years' experience in live television technical direction required.
- Intermediate experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or other Non-Linear editing systems preferred.
- Knowledge of Grass Valley switchers, timelines, macros, clean feeds, DVEs and routing systems required.
- Schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays with weekly schedule primarily Wednesday - Sunday
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
- Set up, testing and operation of production switchers and associated ancillary equipment.
- Perform technical direction duties of live programming as assigned.
- Collaborate with other Technical Directors to execute production needs.
- Ability to organize and document switcher show files, elements, and resources.
- Perform any needed editor functions for the Enhanced International Feed and PGA TOUR LIVE programming.
- Maintain current knowledge of technical trends in the live broadcast industry
- Communicate all technical equipment problems immediately to Engineering through the maintenance reports and assist Engineering in locating and identifying equipment problems as needed
- Maintain operations within guidelines of PGATE Technical Procedures Manual
- Special Projects or other duties as assigned
