NCBOT)Bachelor’s Degree Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
Must be able to function as an occupational therapist in all commonly practiced aspects of patient evaluation and treatment appropriate for the assigned age group.
Must have ability to give clear instructions to individuals and groups ranging from infant to geriatric.Must have ability to plan day-to-day activities and work independently.
Must be able to put patients at ease and make them comfortable.Must possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively work with other hospital employees and guests.
Must demonstrate the ability to interact with others in a helpful and courteous manner.Must be competent in providing clinical care to the patient population described in the department’s description of services section of the policy manual.
