The Registered Nurse is responsible for promoting and restoring patients' health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area;
directing and developing staff; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary professional staff; providing physical and psychological support for patients, friends and families.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the staff, patients, families and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious belief.
Job Responsibilities :
- The RN demonstrates flexibility in job duties
- The RN must be available to work extended hours as needed
- The RN addresses staff needs and shortages appropriately.
- The RN initiates, coordinates, and enforces organizational, operational and personnel policies and procedures
- The RN assists with orienting and training nursing staff
- The RN effectively communicates with patients and families
- The RN maintains safe and clean working environment
- The RN ensures operation of medical equipment, reports, malfunctions, and call in repairs as needed
- The RN maintains clinic supplies by anticipating needs by ordering and maintaining availability of supplies
- The RN consistently strives to maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams
- The RN must be available for employee call-ins
- The RN must be able to give guidance and directions in stressful situations
- The RN effectively delegates task to nurses
- The RN demonstrates a caring and compassionate attitude toward patients and staff
- The RN adequately communicates with providers
- The RN effectively monitor patient needs and satisfy patient complaints
- The RN is knowledgeable in operating center equipment.
- Maintains prompt and regular attendance
- Verify timecard at the end of each pay period
- Performs related work, as assigned
Job Requirements :
- Must be a Registered Nurse with a current license in the State of Mississippi
- Minimum of two years clinical work experience
- Must possess a RN licensure and current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
Physical and Other Requirements :
- Must tenuously listen, visualize and have dexterity and eye-hand coordination; ability for simple grasping and speed work
- Must frequently sit, squat, reach, use both right and left forearm rotation, walk and climb stairs
- Must occasionally kneel, twist, have ability to grasp firmly, lift and carry, push and pull in excess of 10 lbs.
