Here at No Leash Needed, we offer services for all pet care needs with the exception of veterinary care. We have professional dog training and grooming and we also offer boarding and day camp for all kinds of pups and their families who need it.
We have been around for about 11 years and currently have 8 successful locations spread out across the St. Louis area with the expectation to continue to expand.

What we are looking for :
We have a back-of-house position open for our Pet Care Technician role. A successful candidate for this position will embody these values and be a :

As this is a service-related industry, you should have a passion for customer service and helping people. Working in the back house does not change this passion but directs it more towards the dogs then parents.
Your responsibilities will include caring for and ensuring the safety of our guests in the daycare and boarding areas, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the facility.
You will spend your days handling and caring for the dogs so it is essential to have a love for animals.
You’ll report working over a variety of shifts to handle everything from walking dogs, giving them a potty break, feeding and administering medicines, cleaning their rooms, playing with dogs and even loving them as if they were your own.
You will also be managing day camp yards for periods at a time through out your shift and watch the dogs play safely and keeping an eye on their behavios and well being.
At the end of the day, your goal is to help our overnight and daily guests feel like this is their palace away from home.
When working here, you may find yourself giving extra attention to a shy pup in need while also helping other dogs get back into their normal routine.
It's important to document any observations and be ready to share with your manager and supervisors about what is going on with our guests.
And of course, cleaning up after the dogs is a daily task. While the job is fun and rewarding, it's more than just playing with puppies all day.
Expect to go home with some fur on you!
Responsibilities :
- Must be comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to handle dogs of all sizes and lift up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to tolerate being in close contact with various bodily fluids and to get dirty frequently
- Be Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Cheerful, friendly, positive team-oriented attitude
- Good teamwork and willingness to assist other departments as necessary
- Ensure that each guest is treated with respect and dignity (like they are your own)
- Ensure that all guests are receiving appropriate amounts of food and water, and have clean and sanitized food / water bowls on a daily basis.
- Clean up dog poop, urination, and any vomit several times throughout your shift
- Walk dogs on leash to and from outside exercise areas and engage in play activities.
- Supervise activities of multiple dogs in a camp yard throughout the day
- Monitor closely for any potential conflicts or escalations and redirect or remove one or more dogs from the situation as needed
- Maintain a sanitary and healthy environment by following our standards of cleaning and disinfecting rooms
- Follow all standards of safety with regard to handling guests, particularly aggressive guests and escape artists
- Pay specific attention to special handling notes, (Needs a person to hand feed, aggressive, separate for feeding, etc.)
- Immediately alert front staff and resort manager when a guest is ill or exhibiting odd behavior
- Ensure the facility meets or exceeds our expectations with regard to cleanliness and safety. Clean and sanitize all pet enclosures, exercise yards, and common areas.
- Must be able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and grasping.
- Ability to work in temperature extremes, work outside, or in distracting work environments such as loud noise / sound
- A passion for animals and animal care and willing to learn animal behavior to ensure their safety.
- Focuses on safe and gentle handling. Forceful, aversive, aggressive handling, vocalizing, or treatment will not be tolerated.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends
