Responsibilities : Under the supervision of the Coordinator, CATS jail-based outpatient treatment program, provides an enhanced level of support for persons with substance use disorders for the Jail Re-Entry Program.
The Jail Re-entry program assists SUD priority populations identified in the Ingham County Jail prior to and after release with areas identified in the case management assessment.
Engage in supportive services on recovery goals identified by the Master’s level therapist; which include but are not limited to;
supporting access and transition between service levels and community supports. The Recovery Coach will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to individuals seeking recovery support in order to help access services and supports, prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery.
This position provides services in a jail setting and in the community. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program / sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements : Possession of high school diploma or is required. Must have two continuous years in recovery from addiction(s) with experience navigating treatment services and / or prevention;
experience receiving publicly funded treatment and recovery services for addiction. Two years of experience interacting with persons with substance use disorder required.
Candidate must have MDHHS approved Peer Recovery Coach certification. Must be a MCBAP Certified Peer Recovery Mentor or must become certified within a maximum of 3 years from date of hire or change in regulation.
Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements : Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police Clearance, county jail background check, Medicaid / Medicare verification, educational background check, verification of an acceptable work history and an acceptable Michigan driving record.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary / Hours : $19.62-$21.18 hourly. 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, some evening and weekend hours many be necessary based on program needs.
