Springfield Realization Academy (SRA) is a 6
grade school within the Springfield Public School District in Massachusetts. We are a dual-language school that offers a technology enhanced college preparation curriculum that embeds 21
century learning skills. We are seeking a dedicated and competent educator for the position of Instructional Paraprofessional.
We currently have students in 6th and 7th grades and will accept another grade of students in the fall, when we will have our full complement of students in 6-8 grade.

The Instructional Paraprofessional will assist teachers in providing an innovative, high quality education program designed to meet the needs of all our scholars.
Paraprofessionals will work with school sta? to create an educational environment that meets the needs of all students by providing instructional assistance, classroom support, and implementing e?

Key Responsibilities
- Supports direct instruction to children individually, in small groups, and in classroom settings.
- Provides assistance with classroom activities.
- Prepares instructional materials.
- Manages individual and classroom behavior.
- Supervises students on ?eld trip activities.
- Performs other support services and related duties as requested by Building Principal.
Key Competencies & Qualifications

- Must be able to use a variety of equipment and classroom tools such as computers, copiers, calculators, pencils, scissors, equipment for children with special needs, etc.
- Ability to ready a variety of correspondence, reports, handbooks, forms, lists, etc.
- Strong communication, organization, and on-the-fly problem solving skills.
- Capacity and passion to grow every day based on data and feedback from school leaders and peers.
- High School Diploma or GED, and Associate of Arts or Science Degree or higher, or 60 undergraduate college credits, or Meeting or exceeding the State mandated score on the Paraprofessional Assessment or Work Keys Assessment
- BA Degree with Educator Licensure and Experience working with special education students in education settings preferred.
- Proficiency in technological tools, including Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Drive (or equivalents) and other online teaching tools.
A passing score on the Work Keys Exams in the following areas :
- Workplace Documents : 5
- Applied Math : 4
- Business Writing : 3
