About Springfield Honors Academy

Springfield Honors Academy will endeavor to develop the intellectual curiosity and emotional maturity of every member of our student body.

The instructional, curricular and cultural expectations for the high school will be singularly focused on one goal : all graduates of the academy will gain admission into, find success within, and ultimately graduate from competitive four-year colleges.

Our vision encompasses solid instructional practices, a rigorous course of study supported by both state and international standards, a service learning and seminar component as part of the schools’ signature programming, and a culture that builds social maturity and respects the unique individuals who together will make our institution complete.

Teachers will be provided opportunity for daily professional development and fiercely supported in their personal professional learning goals.

Teacher teams will be established to help design curriculum, build culture, conduct research, analyze data, and support all aspects of student life on campus.

It will be the primary goal of administration to lead with high levels of transparency and trust, with a secondary goal of making this high school the only place our staff will ever want to teach.
