We are looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Surgery Center and work alongside our Physicians in our renowned, multi-subspeciality eye care group.
THE OPPORTUNITY AT HAND
As a Surgical Technologist at our Valley Eye Surgical Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.
You will be responsible for preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.
Your attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team will be essential to the success of each surgery.
You will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide the highest level of care to our patients.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
As a Surgical Technologist, you will use your knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment to ensure that each procedure runs smoothly.
You will need to be able to work quickly and efficiently, while maintaining a sterile field. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in working with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
Additionally, experience with electronic medical records and ophthalmic surgery would be beneficial in this role. Overall, your attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team will be critical to the success of each surgery.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working in an ambulatory surgery center
- Experience with ophthalmic surgery
- Experience with electronic medical records
OUR EXPECTATIONS OF YOU
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures
- Sterilize equipment and ensure that all instruments are functioning properly
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and ensure that all necessary supplies are available
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure
