SEC Reporting Manager

Our client is a growing institution in the Mid-Atlantic, is publicly traded, and is in need of an SEC Reporting Manager working on 10Ks, 10Qs 8Ks, Regulatory Reporting, and various reporting outputs.
This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Director of External Reporting, with a dotted line to the Chief Accounting Officer.
Being a publicly traded entity, the main part of the role would be to manage all activities related to the preparation of the banks audited financial statements.
You will also review and test various compiled reports and summaries used in the calculation of important estimates (i.e.
ALLL calculations and income tax provisions) and propose procedural changes that will improve the efficiency and accuracy of ongoing data gathering throughout the institution.
This will be accomplished by compiling an SEC and GAAP disclosure checklist and working directly with the Director of External Reporting to make sure the reports are pristine.
To be considered for this role, you must have a CPA accreditation, public accounting expertise auditing financial statements of publicly traded entities, and / or have experience with a publicly traded bank handling Ks, Qs, 8Ks, MD&A, etc.

Although Manager in title, this is an individual contributor role so you will be managing a process, not any specific individuals (at least at this point.
So, the ability to dig in and get your hands dirty in this role is imperative.
