Responsibilities

This position installs, maintains, and repairs sanitary fixtures and performs major equipment repairs.

Reads and follows blueprints, oral instructions and written repair orders. Maintains records and time keeping as required.

Operates University vehicle as required.

• Performs major equipment repairs and assists zone personnel with major repairs and renovations.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs piping valves, faucets, sinks, wash bowls, sewers, vents and other sanitary fixtures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency and two years' experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to two years.

Technical or vocational may substitute for experience.

A valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License or ability to obtain prior to hire.

• Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.
• Knowledge of the practices and the ability to perform skilled carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or other related trades work.
• Knowledge of and ability to identify safety hazards and necessary safety precautions to establish a safe work environment.
