JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Manager, Franchise Finance will provide financial and decision-making support to the brand by analyzing financial operations, preparing / presenting monthly financial results, making informed recommendations, performing ad-hoc financial modeling, and supporting the budget and long-range planning development.
Additionally, identify opportunities to improve brand profitability and provide investment decision making support by partnering cross-functionally across the organization.
Key outputs include monthly reforecasts, annual budgeting, long-range planning, management and Board of Director reporting, and ad hoc support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead in the preparation of presentations related to business financial results for Senior Management and the Board of Directors (Budget, forecasts, weekly forecasts, quarterly BOD presentations, monthly Business Summary, etc.
Ensure the accuracy of information and confirm that outputs meet Inspire’s high standards.
- Model and present sound and actionable findings and recommendations with a focus improving brand and franchise profitability.
- Provide financial leadership and decision-making support to brand leads, supporting all areas of reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Own the development and maintenance of the budget, forecast and long-range planning for the Brand Advertising Fund, including revenue and expense projections, surplus / deficit management, and strategic initiative planning;
This role will partner with marketing, technology, fund accounting, and various budget owners to support actionable reporting and productive system spend within the fund guidelines.
- Manage the activities and output of a Financial Analyst. Responsibilities include team development, formal performance appraisals, work review, succession planning, and hiring support.
- Lead ongoing assessment of current G&A opportunities and efficiencies - making recommendations to Finance leadership, the Brand President, and the Brand Leadership Team regarding potential risks and opportunities.
- Drive continuous process improvement. Look to enhance and improve existing analytical tools for deeper, repeatable analytics.
Create reports that simplify information and use this data to create clarity for relevant stakeholders.
- Develop key cross-functional relationships, partnering with IT, the Commercial Group, Corporate and Company Finance, Accounting, Data & Analytics, Marketing, Development, and others as needed.
- Create ad-hoc reports as needed to help answer business inquiries and provide support to business partners.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- 4-Year degree / MBA in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
- 5 years related experience in finance, strategic planning / management and / or general business
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
- Advanced knowledge of financial concepts, budgeting, and financial modeling
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective planning and presentation skills
- Ability to handle projects independently
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of financial information systems
- Must maintain effective working relationships with other employees and stakeholders
