Qualifications :
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a varied caseload
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- 0-5 years’ experience in insurance defense
- JD from an accredited law school
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide a writing sample
Key Responsibilities :
- Efficiently manage discovery in multiple litigated matters
- Collaborate with lead counsel and colleagues to devise defense strategies
- Prepare and review legal pleadings
- Conduct depositions and other discovery proceedings
- Perform legal research and analysis
- Maintain a consistent schedule of hearings, meetings and depositions
- Represent clients in court as needed
- Work collaboratively within a team, engaging with lead counsel, other attorneys, and support staff
- Prepare and argue motions in court, including summary judgment and discovery motions
- Work closely with clients to develop case strategies and provide regular updates on case progress
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients
