Job Summary :
Package bulk and foreign shipments as instructed on the job jacket and process shipment through the company shipping system.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Pack journals as required for shipment.
Label cartons as specified by customer.
Complete all necessary paperwork and enter transactions into workflow system in a timely manner.
Demonstrate a working knowledge of shipping software, postal scales and the shrink wrap machine.
Follow all required safety procedures such as : PPE’s, Ergonomics, etc.
Perform job in a manner that protects the health and safety of all employees.
Assist with housekeeping in the Distribution area.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED
Attention to detail
Computer literacy
Good reading comprehension skills
Basic math and counting skills
Desired Skills and Abilities :
Previous Shipping experience
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Ability to stand in place for long periods of time.
