We’re looking to hire a dynamic PR Manager for a law firm.
Duration : 5-month maternity leave coverage.
Location : This role is 100% remote, but preference is for candidates sitting in CST / MST timezones.
Rate : $45-60 / hr
Media Relations :
- Collaborate with the PR & Communications Coordinator to evaluate media opportunities and avoid conflicts.
- Obtain necessary approvals for attorney participation in media engagements.
- Provide media coaching and guidance to attorneys before interviews or press engagements.
- Coordinate with external PR agencies to vet earned media opportunities for relevance and impact.
- Marketing and Communications : Work with the Marcomms team to promote earned media coverage across the firm’s website and social media channels.
- Assist in sourcing and placing attorney-authored articles in reputable publications.
- Editorial and Content Management : Support the Marketing Content Specialist in managing the editorial calendar for firm-wide submissions, including surveys, awards, and feature articles.
- Collaborate with the finance, attorney recruitment, and HR departments to gather necessary information for firm submissions.
- Internal PR Initiatives : Publicize positive developments related to the firm’s diversity, recruiting, and pro bono programs.
- Ensure the firm’s website and marketing collateral are updated with relevant news content.
- Team & Project Management : Lead, mentor, and manage the PR & Communications Coordinator, with a focus on coaching and development.
- Take a hands-on approach to project management, overseeing all ongoing PR tasks and initiatives.
PR Manager Qualifications :
- 3-5 years of proven experience in public relations, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
- Experience managing day-to-day relations with PR agencies.
- Strong understanding of media relations and communication strategies.
- Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to oversee multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams while prioritizing deliverables.
- Experience in coaching professionals for media communication.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and management skills.
- Ability to develop and implement PR strategies with a global perspective.
