MondayFriday6am3 : 30pm.

Troubleshootand diagnose problems on various types of heavy equipment and makenecessary repairs to the equipment. These duties would include allaspects of providing end user customers with a timely and efficientservice experience and may require overtime.

Work may be splitbetween onsite at the shop and in the field at customer locations.Field work is accessed via company supplied truck and at times mayrequire overnight travel.

Will also be expected to keepknowledge / skills updated by attendance at factory trainingcourses.

ESSENTIALJOBFUNCTIONS :

• Troubleshootproblems on various pieces of equipment based on customerexplanation
• Diagnosethe problem using knowledge of hydraulics and electronicsrepair
• Operatehand tools &equipment
• Initiateordering of necessary parts to make therepairs
• Completerequiredpaperwork
• Checkthat all functions arecorrect
• Checkfor leaks and loosefittings
• Checkthat tolerances and torque specs arecorrect
• Testpressures and record them on the testsheet
• Communicatewith supervisor when there are problems on ajob
• Assistin scheduling daily tasks and promote future work to meetutilizationrequirements
• Willhave direct customer interaction andcommunication
• Makerecommendations for changes in procedure or job functions that areconsidered to be in the generalinterest
• Performother jobrelated duties assigned bymanagement

Requirements

• Applicantwill need a current Federal Medical ExaminationCard.
• Strongmechanical aptitude technical understanding of hydraulicselectrical and primary functions of a broad range of equipment usedin ourindustry
• Knowledgeof basic hydraulics and 12volt electricalsystems
• Knowledgeof wiring stop / start systems and ability to useprogrammer.
• Knowledgeof sizes of fittings and hydraulichoses
• Ableto operate saw for cuttingsteel
• Ableto operate plasmacutter
• Ableto use oxygen / acetylenetorch
• Abilityto adjust pressures andreliefs
• Basicmathskills
• Abilityto read and understand electrical and hydraulicschematics
• Mechanicaldesign and / or practical experience in hydraulics structural ormechanicallayout
• Highlevel of Mechanical Aptitude : Ability to understand fundamentals ofmechanical systems as related to the commercial truck industry
• Technicalcollege degree desired or structured onthejob training programsuccessfullycompleted
• 2years experience in field service of heavyequipment.

Skills / Qualifications : Familiar with using refrigerant gauges,electrical and multi meters. Knowledge of occupational hazards andsafety precautions of the trade.

Good verbal and writtencommunication skills and a professional approach to working. Validdriver s license. Upbeat personality and able to interact withcustomers, suppliers, and fellow workers.

Experience : This positionrequires a minimum of 2 years experience in the service and repairof either commercial or transport refrigerationequipment.
