We are seeking a dynamic Bilingual HR Generalist to manage daily Human Resources operations for our client in San Diego, California.
This role involves overseeing various HR tasks, from employee relations and onboarding to compliance and system management.
The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator who can help drive continuous improvements and support the growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and coordinate new hire processes, including I-9 compliance, background checks, and drug screenings
- Conduct onboarding and orientation sessions, ensuring all required documentation is completed
- Provide support in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
- Maintain and update the HRIS system with employee data and transactions, ensuring accuracy
- Assist in handling FMLA claims and other leave management processes
- Address employee relations issues, offering conflict resolution support, and escalate complex matters when needed
- Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and HR investigations as required
- Track compliance with required trainings, such as ethics and anti-harassment programs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations by reviewing and updating HR policies regularly
- Conduct research and analyze HR data to support various projects
- Generate and process necessary HR documents, such as offer letters, and manage DocuSign workflows
- Ensure job descriptions are current through ongoing reviews and updates
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of four years of experience in a similar HR Generalist role
- Strong understanding of California employment laws and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail
- Proven time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Capacity to handle sensitive information confidentially and with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
- HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, or SHRM are highly preferred
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred
