Key Responsibilities :

• Develop strategic Platform Product plan and key PM initiatives that deliver revenue and earnings growth via appropriate Product Portfolio Management.
• Drives global platform lifecycle management for : Optimal Growth & Earnings thru pricing and VMI InitiativesMinimal Waste on obsolescenceEffective Inventory and Supply Chain InteractionsSafe use in the marketplace
• Audits and ensures the Quality of the offering is maintained at high levels in all regions
• Manages Global Product Developments, with regional attribute requirements and consolidated business cases, using a disciplined gated process, understands and communicates product needs to the R&D organization
• Audits and benchmarks offering is competitive vs. competitive offerings
• Conducts appropriate global Product Stewardship Reviews and targets sustainability as business and market needs require.
• Ensures regional regulatory and Product Stewardship requirements are satisfied
• Supports and ensures maintenance of ISO certification at Axalta Ops and R&D Sites.
• Maintains global product quality / consistency and troubleshoots product issues and problems.Ensures appropriate technical documentation stays current and changes are communicated appropriately throughout the organization.

Assists RPM in the development of local language or customer specific documentation where required.Ensures adequate training available for field sales resources to successfully use and sell the product offering and that appropriate OEM Approvals are in place for the platform

Ensures forecast of new product requirements and the obsolescence of older products via regional IBM process. Where quality issues exist, support Regional Product Manager and supply chain in identifying and transitioning inventory in business appropriate ways to available product.

Train and communicate new product issues to supply Chain so that launches are effective and product transitions do not create supply disruption or non-productive inventory.

Ensure End of Lifecycle is managed effectively so that sun setting products does not leave behind non-productive inventory and unneeded complexity in the platform is effectively eliminated.

Job Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree and / or at least 5-10 years of experience in coatings company
• Good product knowledge on refinish paints, their application and performance and commercial aspects
• Understands the criticality of Enterprise wide Lean Approach & can lead the organization to implement lean effectively across all functions
• Understands customer processes and competitive situation
• Ability to drive, analyze and make data driven segment management decisions
• Knowledge of financial analysis (NPV, IRR, GM) to manage product portfolio
• Ability to Lead cross functional projects, interaction with regional and get appropriate buy in to do the work needed to successfully meet customer expectations.
• Strong collaborator and team player; proactive in seeking opportunities to support activities within their geographic assignment
• Conduct cross functional business development projects via disciplined use of gated project management processes and incorporate learning’s from the post launch review as continuous process improvement.
• Ability to effectively influence without authority, and build enable strong collaboration and interactions with regional and country networks
• Track record of leading projects
• Demonstrated ability to work with a high-degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience communicating with international colleagues, multi-lingual a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills, networking ability and team building capability. Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels within an organization, including executives.
• Acts with a high sense of urgency and will be able to prioritize work effectively, not only for themselves, but for the regional teams.
• Possess good computer skills and can effectively use applications such as e-mail, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively identify process and efficient improvement opportunities.
• Possesses self-discipline / self-management and maintains effective performance in unstructured and autonomous environment.
