We are adding to our Revenue Cycle team in our Support Centerlocated in Mission Viejo CA. This position is fulltime with greatbenefits.

The role will report onsite at that Support Center.

Coreduties andresponsibilities :

• Reviewsand processes patient statements for multiple locations.
• Processrefund requests and post refunds into thesystem.
• Readsand interprets insurance Explanations of Payments (EOP) orExplanations of Benefits (EOB) with understanding and canindependently take appropriate next steps to resolveissues.
• Postspayments chargebacks adjustments and remark codes in a timely andaccuratemanner.
• ResearchesdifficultERAs / EOBs.
• Researchesopen accounts receivables resolves claims errors and reprocessesclaims for successfulpayment.
• Maintainsintegrity of patient ledgers following guidelines provided tomanagebalances.
• Submitsclaims electronically and by paper as required. This includessending secondary claims with an attached explanation ofbenefits.
• Answersincoming questions from patients and clinic team members regardingopen account balances and billingissues.
• Ensurescompliance with all HIPAA / HITECH requirements as legally requiredand all applicable federal state and localregulations.
• Actsas a liaison and provides excellent customer support to teammatesin our optometrypractices.
• Minimaltravel to field practices may be required to meet with peersdevelop a strong rapport and understand ourbusiness.
• All other duties as assigned.

PositionRequirements :

• Healthcarebilling experience : 1 year (optometry preferred but notrequired)
• Strongtyping and data entry skills including10key
• Basicknowledge of Microsoft products including Excel Word andOutlook

AdditionalDesired Experience (not arequirement) :

• Healthcarepaymentposting
• Healthcareinsurance and patientcollections
• AcuityLogic Compulink Eyefinity PM and / or Officemate experience aplus
• Opticalbilling Vision Therapy billing Medicare & MediCal billingexperience aplus

Education :

HighSchool diploma or General Education Degree(GED)
