You will have the opportunity to work with our Global Team to provide quality services to external managed service clients as well as internal business units
This job will offer you opportunities to work in diverse environments and be responsible for the provision of system support across multiple domains, design / quote / delivery projects as well as consulting and pre-sales opportunities
Work individually or within a team on software product consulting projects to meet specific customer requirements
May include support, maintenance, and administration
Work directly with the client and may travel to the client site
Provide technical direction and guidance to the delivery team and take responsibility for project deliverables through all phases of the SDLC
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Develop Technical Specifications documents
- Design and programming of agreed developments / modifications to the system
- Assist other developers in the design of their components
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure understanding of client's requirements
- Assist Business Analysts with defining customer requirements
- Unit testing of code and quality assurance of system
- Resolve issues relating to the integration of project deliverables
- System promotions to existing and new customers
- Ensure established standards and procedures are followed at all times
- Diagnose and correct system defects
- Identify situations where the system must be customized to meet client requirements
- Prepare estimates of the labor hours and calendar time required to implement proposed changes to the software or correct root causes of operational problems
- Accurately estimate time frames required to complete assigned tasks
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Experience in EDI mapping software
- Experience in X12, XML, and flat file layouts
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills verbal and written
- Attention to detail and adaptive to change
- Knowledge of development methodologies and intimate knowledge of SDLC
- Dedicated to meet initiative deadlines
- Eagerness and willingness to learn new technologies and processes
Education and Experience :
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in EDI mapping development
- A passion for working in a modern software development business which is customer centric
- Experience in working with software solutions involving direct customer or Operations interaction
- An education in Software programming, Computer Science or Engineering, i.e
minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Development, testing, documentation and deployment skills
- Willing / Experience working in an agile team
Desirable :
- Experience in utility / energy industry
- Experience NAESB / GISB and VAN
- Experience in EDI messaging protocols (HTTPS, SFTP, FTP)
- Hands-on experience with CLEO Clarify
- PostGres DBMS and SQL
- Experience with EDI transactions (568 / 810 / 814 / 820 / 824 / 850 / 855 / 856 / 867 / 997)
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Experience with Jira
