As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for the placement and finishing of concrete and the care and maintenance of finishing equipment.

This role requires working independently, in small teams, or sometimes supervising Laborers to ensure all concrete work meets our high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to : -Concrete Placement and Finishing : Place and finish all types of concrete, ensuring high-quality standards.

Use proper vibration techniques during concrete placement to avoid defects.Shape and finish concrete using appropriate tools such as magnesium floats, finish trowels, edgers, groovers, screeds, shovels, and rakes.

Ensure that walls, footings, slabs, and sidewalks are properly aligned and finished according to specifications.Verify wall alignment and plumbness post-placement using levels and plumb bobs.

Equipment Care and Maintenance : Ensure all tools and equipment, including vibrators, concrete chutes, wheelbarrows, and screeds, are cleaned after use.

Account for all tools and equipment at the end of each day, securely stowing them to prevent damage or loss.Keep equipment and materials organized and properly stored to maintain a tidy job site.

Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety policies and procedures set by ST. CROIX CONSTRUCTION, INC.Understand and comply with OSHA regulations.

Participate in safety and incident investigations as required and report accidents immediately to the Site Foreman.-Team Collaboration and Communication : Follow the direction of the Site Foreman, General Foreman, and Management Team.

Promote teamwork and resolve any issues among crew members to maintain a positive work environment.The ideal candidate should possess : -Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in construction.

• Knowledge of concrete placement techniques and finishing tools.-Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.-Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices in construction.
• Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.-Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
