WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A SHOP TECHNICIAN
We just ask that you meet the following qualifications :
- 2+ years of experience working with heavy equipment and trucks
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating / maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to speak and write clearly in English
- Working knowledge of Windows based computers
Additionally, the following is preferred but not required :
- DOT physical
- Completed MSHA and OSHA training / certification
- CDL Class B or A

YOUR NEW ROLE AS OUR SHOP TECHNICIAN
You will work from 7 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday .
As a Shop Technician , you will be responsible for completing all normal auto repair tasks with precision and attention to detail.
Your primary goal will be to maintain an annual repair efficiency of 85%, ensuring that you consistently deliver high-quality work within the allocated timeframe.
Additionally, you will strive to maintain annual rework hours, as a percentage of hours billed, of less than 3%. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate the ability to meet the standard repair times as defined by SDM Company job codes listed in Fullbay, our comprehensive repair management system.
You will also play a crucial role in creating detailed repair orders (RO) within Fullbay, accurately describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered during the diagnostic process.
Your expertise and effective communication skills will be invaluable in outlining the necessary repairs and services required to address each customer's automotive needs.
