Job Summary :
To oversee and and facilitate the efficient management and transfer of company products from production through to delivery to its customers.
This includes working with production, shipping, and warehousing partners to managing purchase orders, pick lists, shipping assignments, documentation, and invoicing.
Job Responsibilities :
- With support of the leadership team.
- Optimize production quantities and inventory.
- Issue purchase orders, track production timelines and coordinate shipment of completed products to company warehouses.
- Identify future supply issues and find solutions to maintain optimal weeks of supply and a high customer fill rate.
- Receive purchase orders from customers through email and EDI.
- Enter the pending purchase orders into accounting software and manage the schedule to deliver product on time.
- Find solutions to mitigate the issue and provide clear concise and accurate communications to all parties internal and external.
- Choose carriers with the best costs and capabilities.
- Coordinate with customers, carriers, and company warehouse to manage delivery expectations and avoid mistakes.
- Responsible for understanding shipping requirements and creating necessary paperwork and approvals to efficiently clear customs.
- Support other administrative functions as needed, including eCommerce execution, customer service, support for the sales team, accounting, and human resources.
Special projects may also be assigned.
Job Qualifications :
- Must have a strong background in logistics coordination with 3+ years of experience
- Must possess exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Must be a self-starter, self-sufficient, well organized, with exceptional work ethic in order to meet deadlines
- Must have a keen eye for detail
- Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, muti-task, and perform well under pressure while effectively managing competing and / or changing priorities
- Must be familiar with using various computer programs and applications, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel as well as Quickbooks.
