What You'll Do :
The Correction Officer responsibilities include :
Newly hired Correction Officers will be hired at step 1 ($23.12 / hour) and will move to step 2 ($23.79 / hour) after 6 months of employment.
Earn an additional $0.60 per hour when working 2nd or 3rd shift.
Requirements include a high school diploma or G.E.D., a valid driver's license for positions in transportation, and / or a commercial driver's license for driving commercial vehicles. Applicants must pass a correction officer assessment or have completed one within the past 24 months, or be current employees with Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction previously certified as correction officers. The probationary period is 365 days.
