DIRECTOR CLINICAL RISK MANAGEMENT - HEALTHCARE

$100,000 - $140,000 + Bonus + Paid Relocation

The Director of Risk Management is responsible for the ongoing, effective operation of various patient safety and risk management activities.

Such responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Performance and oversight of the claim management functions including investigation and analysis.
  • Performance of risk assessments including new services.
  • Performance of root cause analysis for the system including action plan tracking and facilitation.
  • Management of the Patient Safety Council with incorporation of the corporate TERM program into the overall risk management program.
  • Collaborating with department directors and the executive team to implement Corporate and Facility risk reduction strategies.
  • Providing expertise to regulatory and compliance standards and processes.
  • Data analysis, reporting, educating, providing leadership, and being accountable for related activities.

SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in a related field required.
  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of Risk Management experience.
  • Current RN license in the state of Nevada if Registered Nurse.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission.
  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
  • Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
  • Thorough knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
  • Application of techniques such as RCA, FMEA, and other quality tools.
  • Must possess a detailed, in-depth knowledge of the principles of regulations and standards to meet hospital, licensing, and accreditation.
  • Knowledgeable regarding Joint Commission Standards and CMS / DHS Regulations.
