SPC Logistics Intern
Location : Sun Valley, CA, US
Shift : Monday Friday, 8 : 00am 5 : 00pm
Pay Rate : $15.53 $20.67
Position Overview :
Seeking an Intern SPC Logistics to support its Small Parts Cell Department during a six (6) month internship program. During the internship, the selected applicant will develop a method of moving parts within the SPC Dept.
in Building 3 that will eliminate the risk of losing or mixing parts. The method shall also eliminate the cluttering and stacking parts together, thus eliminating "metal to metal contact".
This method must incorporate the Lean Production Management Principles.
The Intern will also assist SPC / CNC Foreman in the development and implementation of a parts movement or logistics system within the SPC department in building three.
Intern will also attend and participate in SPC / CNC daily production board dialogues. Intern will assist in developing or improving a manner of tracking bushings through their back shops processing cycle.
Project Goals :
Eliminate Metal to Metal Contact of parts, eliminate risk of losing or mixing parts, and reduce need to sort parts
Project Skills :
MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) Operations, Basic Lean Manufacturing / Production Principles, and Project Management.
Qualifications :
Selected applicant must be an undergraduate college student enrolled in an accredited college or university and have an overall grade point average (GPA) 2.0 or higher.
