Ice Rink Aide (Part-time)
Starting at $12.00-$14.00 / hour
This part-time, seasonal position will be responsible for assisting with our brand-new facility : The Rink at Stine Community Park.
Tentative 2024 - 2025 ice rink operating season is December 1, 2024 - March 16, 2025. Tentative start date is November 18, 2024.
Tentative end date is March 23, 2025. Position reports directly to the Ice Rink Coordinator during ice skating season.
DUTIES
- Practice excellent customer service and preventative safety.
- Monitor facility, handle trash disposal, and enforce rules to ensure safety.
- Facilitate skate rentals to customers.
- Assist with pre-season start-up and post-season shut-down of facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work outdoors, often in cold and snowy conditions.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen (including marijuana).
- Become certified in CPR / First Aid within 6 months of hire. (City of Troy may cover costs to obtain).
PREFERENCES
- Certified in CPR / First Aid.
- Prefer ice skating experience.
HOURS
Part-time, approx. 24 - 32 hours per week. Schedule and availability must be attentive to programming and customer service needs.
Regular schedule includes three to four (3-4) days per week including morning, afternoon, evening, weekday, and weekend hours.
