About Our Internship Program

Throughout the course of the internship, interns either work on-site or virtually and have regular events, weekly lunch and learn session and receive training customized by our business units.

This unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and Globally.

The interns will understand first-hand what a career at Stanley Black & Decker is like and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network.

Additional social activities are planned throughout the internship period to provide opportunity to network with SBD professionals.

Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity and self-confidence.

Interns must be team oriented and able to work collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities :

During your internship you will have the opportunity to support Information Technology with key activities including :

• Work with business users to define and analyze problems and align the most suitable technical, application or configuration solutions.
• Solicit, develop, document and manage requirements and provide design and business rules to support the requirements throughout the project life cycle up to and through change control.
• Upgrade and monitor production performance enhancements and system integrity with end users and develop detailed implementation and upgrade project plans in conjunction with other account team associates.

You will have exposure to several areas of the Information Technology at Stanley Black & Decker and will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects with a cross functional team of professionals.

Qualifications :

The Summer Information Technology intern candidate will preferably have the following qualifications :

• Rising Senior, Target graduation date in 2026
• Majoring in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer / Information Science.
• Strong Academic Credentials
• Knowledge of basic principles, methods, technologies, and practices of a professional / technical field.
• Knowledge of basic principles, methods, technologies, and practices of a professional / technical field.
• Successfully manage strong academics with extracurricular activities.

• New Britain, CT
• Valley City, Ohio
