We are looking for the most talented private school professionals from Boston to Philadelphia to join our team and help lead our firm’s growth throughout the Northeast region.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the engagement and workflow of all deliverables for multiple clients, including audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements, and internal control and management letters, to minimize risk and surprises, optimize engagement economics, satisfy service objectives, and meet internal and external deadlines.
- Identify and resolve accounting and audit technical issues impacting the engagement.
- Lead the engagement planning process in terms of timing, resources, risk assessment, reliance on internal controls, audit, or other engagement approaches.
This includes strong communication and analytical skills.
- Determine and approve staffing and other resource needs, and related engagement schedules, as well as the ability to show strong leadership and mentoring capabilities to develop and train staff.
- Review engagement work papers and related deliverables to ensure that firm and professional standards are met.
- Delegate assignments to supervisors and / or manager(s) considering their skills, development needs, schedule, and engagement economics.
- Excellent client service orientation with an ability to expand services and develop new business.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- Active CPA license.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a public accounting firm with emphasis in financial statement audits.
- Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience working with private schools and colleges.
- Assurance leadership, guidance, and supervisory experience is required.
- Advanced understanding of applicable U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ( GAAP ) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards ( GAAS ).

Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
