SUMMARY OF ROLE :

VBA is hiring a Project Manager to join our team! We’re looking for a PM with experience overseeing commercial

construction projects ideally within a small to medium sized firm. The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and

managing all necessary resources in the building of projects at VBA. The PM is responsible for their own projects from start-

up through closeout, ensuring that all aspects are managed properly, including budget, costs, schedule, risk management,

insurances, general work performance and quality, overall progress against the plan and client relationships. The PM is a

strategic imperative for growth and shall ensure that the Owner’s / VBA’s expectations and budgetary guidelines are met or

exceeded.

PROJECT MANAGER DESCRIPTION :

• Continuously enforces safety protocols onsite and reviews Superintendent progress during Weekly inspections.
• Maintains strong communication with Project team throughout project duration by holding Weekly Meetings, conducting Two-Week Look-Aheads, etc.
• Runs a smooth bidding process through creating estimates & submittals, communicating with subcontractors, and presenting to client team.
• Oversees project financials through completing cash flow projections, accurate project billing, CTC reports, and SOV reviews.
• Closes out projects on time and to budget as often as possible, and completes Internal and External project retrospects.
• Consistently reaches out to existing client base to assess future work and ask for referrals.
• Creates relationships with prospective contacts through networking & client events.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years of experience in construction industry

Ability to handle commercial construction projects ranging $500K to $5M

Experience working with and leading teams

Travel required, with on-site visits to job sites on a weekly basis.

Computer Skills :

Extensive use of Procore is required

Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

Proficiency with Sage 100 or other accounting programs

Familiarity with CRM platforms (ACT!, etc.)

Certificates and Licenses :

Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s License highly preferred

OSHA 30 training provided

First Aid Certification
