Position Summary

The successful candidate will join an existing team that develops and manages a software product related to discovering new mobile data related to the mission.

This role includes application development in support of the mission and managing the product's infrastructure and DevOps environment.

You will be working in a highly collaborative, integrated environment.

Essential Functions Statements

This role will benefit from a candidate with a broad knowledge base as the work combines application development with infrastructure / DevOps.

Competency Statements

• Must have Java experience.
• Must have DevOps experience.
• Must have experience in application development.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs.

Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Education :

Required Education, Experience and Certificates

• Twelve plus (12+) years of general experience in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
• At least five (5) years of experience in software-intensive projects and programs for government or industry customers.
• At least four (4) years of experience as a software engineer supporting software architecture development, requirement analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection, and evaluation of COTS / GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and existing systems).

Certificates And Licenses :

• Valid Driver’s License
• COVID-19 Vaccination Card

Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates

• Android OS familiarity
• Management of technologies such as LDAP server, Elastic search cluster, Docker containers, and firewall rules.
• Linux administration and experience developing software in a Linux environment.
• Scripting
• Working in a team environment

Certificates And Licenses :

Computer Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance.
• Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.

Work Authorization / Security Clearance

Employee must be a US citizen.

Employee must be able to have and maintain a Top Secret SCI with full-scope polygraph.
