As a Government Commercial Banker in Middle Market Banking, you will be the focal point of client acquisition and ongoing relationships.

Government industry handles over 2500 client relationships across the country. The team focuses on cities, counties, school districts and other government entities.

Government industry work with dedicated product specialists from Treasury & Securities Services, Public Finance, Securities Trading, Asset Management and Leasing to provide the firm's extensive services and products to our clients and prospects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset
  • Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
  • Find ways to further efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Seven years direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners and resources
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; able to effectively communicate clearly and concisely
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and formal credit training preferred
  • Sales management, business development skills, proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships
  • Strong creative solution, problem solving abilities, flexible to changing business priorities and ability to multitask
  • Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, self-directed, proactive and creative
