Responsibilities :
Leadership and Team Management :
- Lead and inspire a team of machinists and operators to meet production goals while fostering a positive work environment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members for skill enhancement and performance enhancement.
Operational Oversight :
- Take charge of day-to-day operations in the machine shop, ensuring seamless workflow and on-time project completion.
- Develop and execute production schedules, prioritizing tasks to fulfill customer requirements.
Quality Assurance :
- Establish and uphold rigorous quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of precision and quality in machined components.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any quality-related issues promptly and effectively.
Resource Management :
- Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to enhance efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and manage expenses to align with budgetary constraints.
Continuous Improvement :
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement and implement strategies to boost productivity and minimize waste.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, recommending and implementing relevant improvements.
Safety Compliance :
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular safety audits and provide comprehensive safety training to team members.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in a leadership capacity within a machine shop environment.
- Profound expertise in machining processes, CNC programming, and tooling.
- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated track record of effectively managing and motivating diverse teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
