Senior Interior Designer Location : Hingham Job Description The mission of Trellis Home is to bring classic dcor with a colorful flair into the homes of their clients.

We are looking for a dynamic Designer with a can-do attitude and a strong attention to detail to join our Hingham, MA Studio / Showroom.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Designer will be expected to assist on all projects along with the Principal and Project Manager, to help develop designs from concept through completion
• Source Furnishings and Fabrics / Textiles that align with the projects vision and review with the Principal for Final Selections to present to the client
• Source pricing for all products that align with Project Budgets, add items including all specifications to Studio, create Client Proposals, and communicate all confirmed client purchases with Project Manager and Bookkeeper
• Manage the creation of visuals by team for client presentations : physical layouts and boards, digital concept boards and renderings, floor plans and tear sheets
• Delegate tasks to junior Designer and Design Assistant, as needed, to accomplish client presentation needs
• Oversee initial measurements, develop space plans, elevations, and 3-D renderings to generate design solutions, ensure furniture sourced will be to scale, and to use in presentations for final layout signoffs
• Maintain regular communication with clients, vendors, and contractors
• Organize and prioritize multiple projects at a time, and help manage and organize team members, tasks, and meetings
• Lead project and client meetings when necessary
• Mentoring of junior team members

Job Requirements ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 to 5 years experience at an established Residential Design Firm
• High Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office
• Proficiency in Studio Designer or similar program
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or SketchUp (Asana and Slack are a bonus)
• Proven ability to run a design project on time and on budget; ability to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of all purchased pieces.
• Detailed knowledge of the furnishings and trade market
• Team oriented and strong leadership skills; ability to organize and motivate a team
• Must be able to work independently, with little supervision

High-end residential design experience is PREFERRED

Overnight travel 2x year for High Point Market, October and April (3 nights each).

Salary commensurate with experience and bonus is discretionary, based on company and employee performance.
