Social-First Conceptual / Art Director

Job Description

The salary range for this position is $64,343 - $72,000 USD annual.

Reporting to the Creative Director, we are looking for a Social-First Conceptual / Art Director who is conceptually-minded, with a background working in a writers room, either in TV / film or the advertising space.

You'll be part of a creatively-led account to create visually inspiring ideas that cut through the clutter to set hearts and feeds on fire.

You'll excel in a 'writers room' type environment, riffing with other writers and creatives to get to the perfect organic social idea / campaign / post.

You're an idea generator with outstanding writing experience and love working with clients and gaining their trust to create the best work possible.

Responsibilities :

• Create ideas for a world-leading entertainment platform and bring them to life, visually.
• Take verbal briefs or angles and quickly spin insightful ideas.
• Storyboard and direct shoots with high level talent.
• Guide a DP, editor, VFX, VO record, and colorists on production and post-production needs.
• Build relationships and influence with creatives in a writers room environment
• Riff ideas with other writers / creatives and clients daily, expressing a clear vision and point of view with conviction.
• Create groundbreaking visual ideas to promote social engagement.
• Defend and improve ideas in response to client feedback
• Generate original, attention grabbing (organic) social ideas / content that engage audiences and inspires fame, across the spectrum of emotions, from witty, to serious, to dramatic.
• Take verbal briefs / angles and spin insightful ideas on the spot, adding your own creative insights.
• Stay apprised of social and trends
• Review work with the Creative Director, Creative VP and ECD, take feedback and actioning their direction across the team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years (conceptual, art direction) experience
• Deep entertainment experience
• Previous success in a design role
• Proven track record as part of a team of creatives
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team of 10+
• Excellence in communicating with leadership and clients
• Creative awards
• Previous production experience and an understanding of the world of shoots.
